Our Web Development Process
Web development can be a little mysterious and confusing if you don’t understand how everything works. At L3 Design, we break everything down so that you understand what is going on and can keep track of your website’s development. To learn what happens during every step of our process, check out our phases of development below:
Phase 1
- Consultation
The consultation is where we learn about you, what you are trying to accomplish, and who your target audience is. We’ll even educate and guide you so that you can fine tune your goals. - Quote
After the consultation, we do research and provide a quote on the solution that will meet your needs based on your budget and goals. - Contract signing
Here we make everything official and we are on our way. It is at this point that the initial deposit is given.
Phase 2
- Domain name registration
If you don’t have a domain name, no worries. At this point we will help secure the perfect domain name and plant your flag amongst the dot-coms. - Hosting
If you do not have a hosting plan, we will help establish your hosting account so that your website can be housed online.
Phase 3
- CMS installation
At this point, we will install the content management system. This is the foundation that will allow your website to be developed. - Coming soon page
We will setup a “coming soon” page to build excitement about your upcoming website. - Site development
This is where the fun begins! Like a building under construction, we begin to develop your website, designing and programming in the necessary features until your vision is fully realized.
Phase 4
- Review & Edits
As your site takes shape, you will have a chance to review and together we will collaborate to shape your website into a full-fledged online presence. - Site Launch & Training
Once your site becomes live, we don’t leave your hanging. We will train you (or your staff) on how to keep your site up-to-date by providing fresh content.
